1E PXE Everywhere: Failed to open ‘C:\ProgramData\1E\PXELite\TftpRoot\cisconet.cfg’
Problem:
At a customer today we noticed that one of the branch offices had problems with the the PXE Everywhere (PXELite) service on the clients.
This is how the PXELiteServer log looked like:
C:\Windows\ccm\logs\PXELiteServer.log
Error: Failed to open ‘C:\ProgramData\1E\PXELite\TftpRoot\spu-rtr-.cfg’: The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: Failed to initialise new TFTP session. The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: Failed to open ‘C:\ProgramData\1E\PXELite\TftpRoot\cisconet.cfg’: The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: Failed to initialise new TFTP session. The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: Failed to open ‘C:\ProgramData\1E\PXELite\TftpRoot\network-confg’: The system cannot find the file specified.
Error: Failed to initialise new TFTP session. The system cannot find the file specified.
Solution:
We asked the network guys to have a look at it, as it looks like a Cisco router was trying to obtain config files from the TFTP Server on the branch clients.
They answered that the solution was to run this command on the Cisco 1900 1941 routers:
no service config
